Greg Harrison

Kaeja Projects: TBD

Toronto-based percussionist and Dora-nominated composer Greg Harrison is emerging as one of Canada’s finest talents in contemporary music. His extensive resume spans artists and groups including JUNO/ Polaris Prize winning Jeremy Dutcher, Mear, Taktus, Cirque du Soleil, Video Games Live, R. Murray Schafer, and Fred Penner. Described as a “percussion & electronics wizard” (Bob Boilen - NPR Music), Harrison’s performative and compositional style merge his classical music background with his passion for electronic music. In recent years, Harrison's commissions have been coveted by ProArte Danza, Toronto Dance Theatre, Kaeja d'Dance, Human Body Expression, Guetcha Guaritcha, Fifth Wind Quintet, CCDT, Dr. Morris Palter (University of Arizona), and Division 85 Films.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TRADITIONAL LAND

Kaeja d’Dance would like to acknowledge that we are situated upon traditional territories. Our artists, collaborators, staff and team are grateful to be creating art on this land that has been nurtured by recorded and unrecorded human activity for by thousands of years. We honour and respect the traditional lands and waterways of the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the Métis Nation. We are in the 'Dish with One Spoon' territory - a treaty between these nations reflecting a commitment to share the territory and protect the land. We also recognize the enduring presence of diverse Indigenous peoples on this land.
