Kaeja Projects: Ffida Festival, Porch View Dances, plus more

SHARON DIGENOVA is a Production stage manager and award-winning lighting designer, who began her career in a Broadway touring house in Massachusetts, where she worked in all aspects of technical theatre on numerous Tony Award winning productions. She has since been engaged in numerous capacities in a multitude of disciplines – designing for dance, theatre, multi-media, circus and freak shows, stage managing music venues, producing dance and running her own venue, and touring internationally to over 350 cities (several times over) in more than 30 countries throughout North & South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Far East. She has collaborated with scores of National artists and companies ranging from The Royal Winnipeg Ballet to Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes and lit numerous international artists including multi award winning dancer Patricia Guerrero and Flamenco master, Joaquin Grilo. Sharon has collaborated with Kaeja d’Dance in various ways since Ffida Festival 1992.

Kaeja d’Dance would like to acknowledge that we are situated upon traditional territories. Our artists, collaborators, staff and team are grateful to be creating art on this land that has been nurtured by recorded and unrecorded human activity for by thousands of years. We honour and respect the traditional lands and waterways of the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the Métis Nation. We are in the 'Dish with One Spoon' territory - a treaty between these nations reflecting a commitment to share the territory and protect the land. We also recognize the enduring presence of diverse Indigenous peoples on this land.
