lifeDUETS ON TOUR

Karen and Allen Kaeja will be touring Lasterday to BC in June. Locations will be announced soon. With this new duet Lasterday, we explore how two individuals carry different memories and perceptions of the same events from their shared past. This concept delves into various aspects of their relationship, including their sense of timeline, emotional impacts, and interactions throughout their life journey, all through the lens of how they remember and interpret their shared history.

EMPTY PAGES / TOUCHX MUSIC VIDEO

Coming soon! The Empty Pages (TouchX) music video.

Thanks to Greg and Fran for making beautiful music together and instigating this project! Sometimes, concepts fuel a life time of work. First stop for this film was an icecave during a cozy February winter week. The next stop is Iceland in April to complete the imagery palette!  The estimated launch of the music video is this fall - stay tuned!

Thanks to Canada Council for the Arts Digital Now program, and the original team of the TouchX journey.

RESISTANCE-142466

A bold reimagining of Resistance to be re-named 142466.

The original choreography toured North America for seven years from 2000 through 2007, opening the Harbourfront Theatre’s 2000 Season. The choreography travelled from Mexico to the USA and across Canada with great success. Exploring the power of human spirit in the face of oppression and fear, 142466 personifies resilience and courage: six dancers and five benches on a sparse stage embody an environment of reflection, danger, and intimacy.

Kaeja d’Dance is planning to premiere 142466 in the 2025/2026 season.
